First Look! Ashley Greene’s DKNY Jeans Billboard in Times Square

Thanks to foforks, we have this first look at Ashley Greene’s DKNY Jeans advert campaign now featured on a giant billboard in Times Square, NYC! Ashley was  announced back in October as the new face for DKNY and DKNY Jeans, and will appear  in the brand’s global campaign for Spring 2012 shot by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.

According to Page Six of the New York Post:

Ashley Greene couldn’t resist the madness of the boozy SantaCon bar crawl. The “Twilight” hottie was spotted wearing a reindeer headband with antlers on Saturday at the Fat Black Pussycat on West Third Street. “Ashley was chatting with one of her girlfriends among the sea of [sloshed] Santas,” a spy said. “She had a cocktail in her hand, but she didn’t appear to be drinking too much.” Our spy added that Greene, who’s dating Reeve Carney, star of “Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark,” didn’t seem distracted by the hard-drinking white-bearded masses, and “wasn’t talking to any guys, only her friend.” Greene’s rep didn’t respond.

Ashley Greene on ‘Pan Am’: Episode 9 (December 4th, 2011)

Ashley’s guest arc on ‘Pan Am’ started yesterday with her character, Amanda Mason, a childhood friend of First Officer Ted Vanderway (Michael Mosley) being introduced. It was a brief appearance, but her storyline WILL develop when the show returns on January 8th! Reminder: Ashley Greene on ‘Pan Am’..Tonight!

Ashley’s guest arc on the period drama ‘Pan Am’ will start tonight, December 4th, 10 EST | 9 central on ABC! After today’s episode, reruns will play over the holidays and the show will return beginning of January with five more episodes, three of which will also guest star Ashley!

If you are in North America make sure to tune in for all the upcoming episodes. It must be expected there would be a significant boost on Pan Am’s ratings with Ashley coming aboard, and we don’t want to disappoint ;)! Ratings are actually very crucial at this point. ABC announced that they’re committed to airing all the 14 episodes of the season, but whether or not the show will be cancelled afterwards or come back for a second season is still undecided. The ratings for the remaining 6 episodes and the reruns will be the basis for ABC’s decision. If you can’t watch, just make sure to switch to ABC on Sundays at 10 ET and mute the voice, or DVR the show and watch it within the next 24 hours (you won’t be counted otherwise). It’s actually really good and deserves a chance to grow and find its audience.

So, don’t forget to tune in for Ashley’s first appearance tonight, and feel free to come back here and discuss the episode in the comments!

Ashley Greene Featured in “The Beauty Book for Brain Cancer”

These may not be new photos for most of you, but they’ve been newly featured in Ashley’s friend “Pantera” Sarah Uphoff’s  and photographer Darren Tieste’s “The Beauty Book for Brain Cancer”. Read more about the book below:

The Beauty Book is a hard cover coffee table book with images of your favorite celebrities, musicians and top models. All the monies raised will go directly to brain cancer research via two charities called SNOG & HEADRUSH. These charitable organizations are non-profit and both rely on donations and fundraising.

Darren Tieste founded this project in February 2009, after losing his dear friend, Natalie Sattler Esposito, to brain cancer in September 2008 – she was 35 years old.  In April 2010, he was introduced to an amazing person, “Pantera” Sarah Uphoff, whose mom, Louise, was battling brain cancer at the time. Pantera joined forces with Darren to rally many of her super-star celebrity friends to be photographed. In July 2011, during the second year of photographing people for the book, her mom lost her battle with the disease. Pantera and Darren have never been more determined to raise mega dollars for brain cancer research. Every year, 17,000 Americans, 2,000 Australians and 280,000 humans worldwide are diagnosed with brain tumors. Brain cancer is one of the leading causes of cancer related deaths in patients younger than 35.

Tragedy Strikes the Twilight Community, Your Support is Needed

A tragedy has struck our little Twilight community.  One of our original TwiFans.com’s members and a avid Twilight fan’s life was forever altered when Judy Hornberger‘s very pregnant daughter, Beth, had to be rushed to the hospital on December 1st.

Judy kept us apprised of the very serious situation at the hospital and asked for all our prayers.  The baby had to be removed by emergency surgery due to lack of oxygen.  At that time, the baby was alive, but in serious condition.  Baby girl Natalie was rushed to a Children’s Hospital for the best care.

A short time later Judy was given tragic news.  She was told that her daughter, Beth, had not survived.  Bethany passed away from a cyst that had ruptured that had several arteries feeding it.  At this point everyone’s hopes and prayers shifted to baby Natalie.

The following day we learned that baby Natalie had not survived the night and as Judy put it “Joined her mother in heaven”.  Judy did get a few precious moments with her granddaughter before she passed.

Our hearts pour out to Judy, Bethany’s mother and best friend, Paul, Bethany’s father, and Dan, Bethany’s husband.

During these times of sorrow, we would like to collect donations for the Francis & Hornberger family to help with anything they may need.  All money collected will be given to Judy to use as she sees fit.  Let’s pull together and show Judy and her family how much we care.  Any little bit will help.
