Ashley’s stylist Christina Ehrlich talked to HollywoodLife about Ashley’s fashion sense and what they are gearing up for Breaking Dawn’s promotional tour:
While I’m sure most Twi-hards can’t wait to see Breaking Dawn, I’m looking forward to the mega promotional tour — I love seeing all the stars get glam on the red carpet, especially Ashley Greene. Luckily, I got to chat with her stellar stylist and brand ambassador for Via Spiga,Cristina Ehrlich, who told us what we can expect to see on the star.
“Somebody like Ashley doesn’t need a lot,” Cristina said. “I’m very grateful that with her, we can put her in silhouettes that are very simple and she’s smart enough to know that they’re not boring — they’re simple and chic. You see a lot of young girls on the red carpet taking these big risks with colors and frills or cutouts and beading and I think they dress that way because they think more is more. I’m really flattered when the girls can trust that at the end of the day less is more. You don’t need to overdo it with the jewelry and makeup, you don’t want the dress to overtake the girl, especially someone as beautiful as Ashley. You should be able to see the beauty of Ashley and the dress is an accent.”
Cristina, who has been working with the star for a couple of years, said the pair is really working on Ashley’s evolving looks and developing the arc of her style. “Girls like Ashley are veterans of the red carpet, with all of the events and premieres they go to she’s growing up quick. I like when she feels excited about what she’s wearing, even if she’s trying something that may be new, it’s a win-win. It has been really fun with her because in the time I’ve been working for her I’ve introduced her to new designers and she trusts me, and at the same time I hear what shes feeling” she said.
Both the stylist and the star are having fun taking risks on the red carpet, while still gravitating towards classic elegance, just like Anne Hathaway! “Ashley’s a really young girl with a beautiful body and she’s got a great sense of style. I’m trying to find her silhouettes that stay, very classic, very feminine, and very fashion forward that are also very timeless. When talking about Ashley I could use Anne Hathaway as an example — she’s young, always looks beautiful, and knows how to take risks wearing different things and trying different designers but at the same time there’s something fluid about her looks.”
Ashley Greene is featured along with Mila Kunis, Emma Stone, Olivia Wilde, Elizabeth Olsen, Mia Wasikowska and Rooney Mara in Company Magazine’s ‘Young Hollywood’ September 2011 issue:

New review of Skateland and Ashley Greene’s performance! There’s also a brief non-detailed mention of the bonus features available on the Blu-ray (comes out tomorrow, August 30!):
When I walked into the Sundance Film Festival industry screening of Skateland two years ago I wasn’t expecting to walk out having seen my favorite tribute to John Hughes and utterly in love with Ashley Greene (or at least her character, Michelle Burkham). Truthfully, I expected just the opposite. Most films that try to play tribute to the ’80s end up lampooning the decade of excess rather than celebrating its eccentricities and as far as I was concerned Greene was just another pretty face capitalizing on the success of Twilight.
Skateland tells the story Ritchie Wheeler (Shiloh Fernandez) and his group of friends that live in a small town in Texas in the early ’80s. Ritchie has worked as the skating rink manager at Skateland for the last four years but with interest in roller skating fading the rink’s owner has decided to close up and sell the building. Ritchie is forced to consider a life beyond the rink, the weekend parties at Kenny Crawford’s (Taylor Handley) lakeside home and the post-high school apathy that has taken over his life.
Greene plays Michelle, the beautiful younger sister of local motocross legend Brent Burkham (Heath Freeman), who works at Musicland, decorates her bedroom with posters of The Cure and Depeche Mode, makes mixtapes from her extensive vinyl collection and wears excessive blue eye shadow. She’s also one of the few people pushing the reluctant Ritchie towards a college education. She’s independent, intelligent and, for lack of a better word, dreamy.
Having grown up on films and soundtracks of Pretty in Pink, Sixteen Candles and Some Kind of Wonderful I tend to by very critical of films that attempt to tap into the nostalgic atmosphere of the ’80s. Skateland does it exactly right as it features the expected archetypes but never submits to cliché. It’s the polar opposite of Topher Grace’s unbearable Take Me Home Tonight and easily outshines Sundance alum The Informers, the lifeless cinematic adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis’ short stories.
Sadly bonus features are limited to 30 minutes of deleted and alternate scenes that are interesting but were wisely left unused. An audio commentary from writer/director Anthony Burns and writer/producers Brandon and Heath Freeman would have been ideal.
Sadly Skateland was never given the theatrical release or publicity push that it deserved. Hopefully the Blu-ray and DVD release helps the film to find an audience. If you have any love for the ’80s, John Hughes or want to change the way you look at Ashley Greene as an actress I insist that you watch Skateland.
Skateland is available for pre-order:

Unfortunately, Ashley ditched the MTV Video Music Awards this year, but she was among the many celebrities who attended the Taylor Swift concert at Staples Center in L.A after the show. She supposedly ran into her ex Joe Jonas there (?). Ashley also tweeted Demi Lovato to tell her she’s “beautiful” when the later received some hateful comments about her weight and appearance.
Ashley and Demi started following each other on twitter after meeting at a Katy Perry‘s concert earlier in the month.

“I am a huge fan of Tiffany’s in general but am very excited about Frank Gehry’s new line. I think, you know, it’s very interesting whenever two arts can merge – to bring his a kind of architectural view to the jewelry line, to bring something interesting to an already stellar line,”- Ashley Greene

Ashley will be honored with a ‘Spotlight Initiative Award’ from The Creative Coalition next month, at TIFF!
The Creative Coalition is pleased to announce that Ashley Greene (Butter, Skateland), Anna Kendrick (50/50, Up in the Air), David Paymer (Twixt, The American President), Morgan Spurlock (Comic Con: Episode IV – A Fan’s Hope, Super Size Me) and Roland Emmerich (Anonymous, 2012) have been named as honorees for the 2011 Spotlight Initiative Awards. The awards will be bestowed to honorees during the upcoming Toronto International Film Festival.
The dinner honoring this year’s recipients will be attended by influential players from the arenas of art and entertainment and takes place on Saturday evening, September 10th at the Roosevelt Room.
Representing all aspects from the world of independent filmmaking, the 2011 class of honorees embodies the tenets of The Creative Coalition’s Spotlight Initiative. The Spotlight Initiative was created in 2008 to support independent films with messages that make a positive difference in the world and celebrate the art and craft of filmmaking for their social relevance.
The Creative Coalition CEO, Robin Bronk said, “The range of work from this year’s honorees is a true testament to why we created the Spotlight Initiative Award. Actors and filmmakers are under no obligation to use film as a venue to educate audiences on social issues, but our 2011 class of recipients has done a masterful job in doing so throughout their respective careers.”
The Creative Coalition (www.thecreativecoalition.org) is the premiere 501(c)(3) nonprofit, nonpartisan social and public advocacy organization of the arts and entertainment community. Founded in 1989 by prominent members of the creative community, The Creative Coalition is dedicated to educating its members on issues of public importance and is headquartered in New York City.

Thanks to n-reed.com, we have this scan of a short new Comic Con interview with Ashley, Nikki Reed, Julia Jones, Elizabeth Reaser and Boo Boo Stewart from an August issue of magazine called “TV Plus English”.
Q: What did you keep from set?
A: Or steal? I have a couple of things. They’ve been part of our lives for so long that I felt we had a right to take something. I took Alice’s necklace and a pair of American Apparel pants – which is ridiculous, but they are so comfortable – and big Jackie-O sunglasses that were iconic for Alice in one of the instalments. I took things that I know I’ll treasure 20 years from now.
Q: How are fans now? Still as intense as when it first started?
A: Everything gets crazier whenever a premiere is coming up. Instead of there being two paparazzi, there are 25, and there’s suddenly an interest in what we’re eating and what kind of dog we have.
We also have a scan of a pic of Ashley with Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez at the Teen Choice Awards from “Hollywood Reporter” Magazine, and a new Breaking Dawn still from Entertainment Weekly!

Ahley Greene is considered quite the fashionista these days, but the Twilight star admits that she frequently feels outdone by her friend and former Gossip Girl actresss, Jessica Szohr.
“Whenever I hang out with her, I always admire what she wears,” Greene told PEOPLE at the Teen Choice Awards at Gibson Amphitheatre in L.A. on Sunday. “She has this way of putting things together that I would never think of. Every time I hang out with her, I’m like, ‘That’s such a cool outfit. I could never pull it off.’”
Even though Greene doesn’t think she can get away with certain style choices, she isn’t closed-minded when it comes to experimenting.
“I feel like I’m constantly learning and growing, and figuring out what works for me and what doesn’t work,” the actress, clad in Givenchy, explains. “I think it’s all trial and error. You have to try things and you can’t let someone else tell you what to wear. I’ve made fashion mistakes, but I’d like to think that I’ve learned from them.”
